Where Should An Internal Coaching Program Live in a Company?

Let’s explore where coaching programs can potentially reside inside an organization. This is a topic that can cause debate, as it is not always clear where an internal coaching program and its coaches should be housed. My view is this: house the program where it makes the most sense for your employees and your budget, and where it will be best aligned with the goals of the organization and have the greatest level of executive sponsorship and support. Also, keep in mind that coaching is a personal and private engagement between a professional coach and a member of your organization. Think about where your employees will feel most comfortable engaging with a coach who is sponsored by  (Human Resources, Sales, Talent Management and so on).
