Renee Robertson of Bernardsville has written a book, “The Coaching Solution: How to Drive Talent Development, Organizational Change and Business Results,” to assist human resource professionals.
Bernardsville resident and author Renée Robertson said the role of coaching is critical in developing and retaining top talent.
In her new book, “The Coaching Solution: How to Drive Talent Development, Organizational Change and Business Results” (Secant Publishing), Robertson presents the steps — and potential pitfalls — on how to design, build and deliver an internal coaching practice. Based on her firsthand experience as a former Fortune 500 director of talent development, she said “The Coaching Solution” teaches readers how internal coaching programs, when executed properly, can retain and develop talent in the face of rapid change and unknowns.
“My mission is to help companies learn how to integrate coaching into their talent management strategy in order to support leadership and management development, change and transformation initiatives and to build strong, fully engaged workforces creating an environment where people are inspired to work,” Robertson said. “This is the purpose of my book and training and mentoring programs, and I am delighted to be in a position where I can share my knowledge and make corporate environments great places to work.”
Part autobiography, part how-to manual and workbook, Robertson’s book provides corporate managers, executives and coaches with a highly personalized, step-by-step approach to building an effective coaching program.
As a former talent management executive, Robertson shares her best practices and lessons learned with the hope to further coaching within organizations and to guide those interested in building high-performance employees, teams and organizations.
“It’s based on my personal experiences as an internal coach, human resources business partner and talent management executive,” Robertson said. “The target audience for the book is human resource, talent management, organizational development professionals, business managers and executives and coaches that work or would like to work inside organizations.”
“The Coaching Solution” is Robertson’s first book.
She said it was written from her inspiring Bernardsville home office.
“I have a beautiful view of the nature that surrounds me and being in nature inspires me,” she said.
Robertson said she discovered the Somerset Hills area on a Sunday drive taking a break from exams while attending Drew University. She said she moved to the Somerset Hills 20 years ago.
Robertson said “The Coaching Solution” can be purchased locally at The Book Worm, 99 Claremont Road, Bernardsville. If books are purchased from The Book Worm, the author said they can be signed and a complimentary coaching session will be provided. The book also can be purchased on Amazon.
